Who is Amplify Tutoring?
About Us
Hi! I'm Alicia Gibson. I have been an educator in high school, community college, and universities for the past 17 years. I have a Master's Degree in Education and I love working with students to help them feel seen, valued and successful. I started tutoring as a I saw the need from my students. Offering these different services and support has been such a joy. Helping students see just what they are capable of achieving, leads them to being empowered to pursue the future they want to have.
How We Started
The first programs offered were SAT prep courses. This turned into Reading, Writing, and Math individual tutoring to fit the specific needs of the students. Since then, we now offer tutoring in all core content areas, including Spanish, as well as test prep for the PSATs, SATs, ACTs, CHSPE, and GED. We also offer College Application workshops, including help with personal statements and FAFSA workshops for parents.
Success Rate
Students have completed tutoring and test preparation have incredible success rates. Together with the student, we have created study plans specific to them. We are proud to say that ALL students tutored have passed their classes and scored well on their standardized tests!
